Sametz Blackstone shares Gold Medal from New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA)
Boston, MA, May, 2002—Sametz Blackstone Associates, a leading Boston communications practice, announced today that a website designed by them for Scudder Investments has won the gold award from the New England Direct Marketing Association (NEDMA) in the consumer electronic communications category. Sametz Blackstone developed the site, which launched last autumn, in collaboration with Scudder Investments Retirement Services Participant Education team. Scudder also received top honors in several other categories using the communications program originally designed in collaboration with Sametz Blackstone. The program had previously been recognized by industry leaders including 'Best of the Web' by Pensions and Investments, and a place in the kasina top defined contributions website list.
"The website is part of a broad communications initiative that Sametz Blackstone developed for the Scudder Retirement Services team," said Andrew Maydoney, Sametz Blackstone Vice president." "At a time when the need for retirement planning education programs has been made abundantly clear, Scudder has made a unique commitment in its industry to assure that programs are accessible and clear. The new communications program, of which the website is a critical part, responds to the excitement, change, energy, and innovation that informs all of Scudder's endeavors."
The award-winning site is rooted in powerful research commissioned by Scudder that revealed the need for retirement plan participants to increase their knowledge and responsibility for retirement planning. Additionally, principles of Multiple Intelligence (MI), a teaching / learning system identified by Howard Gardner's Project Zero at Harvard University, are used throughout the website.
